Often used by climbers as a prefered descent after a great climb, Abseiling is a thrilling activity in its own right. Leaving the top of a cliff backwards is a challenge for most, but after a few goes, you'll be abseiling like a pro!

Keswick Adventure Centre hosts some incredible abseils throughout the Lakes and further afield. Our most spectacular drop is almost 100 feet above the ground at Woden's Face near to the Bowderstone in the Borrowdale Valley, a short drive from Keswick.

Why not combine this activity with Outdoor Climbing and develop your skills in the morning in order to climb the 'face' and then prepare to be thrilled during your commando style decent?

A camera (securely fastened to you!) is a must if you are to convince your disbelieving friends who thought that you would not climb higher than your lounge window sill!

Let us arrange a charity abseil and raise money for your great cause at the same time as abseiling from your choice of cliff, building, crane or tower. Keswick Adventure Centre will come along and assess the possibility of abseiling from your chosen venue and give you a very competetive price if it is a 'go-er'.

Recent venues have included the Waterloo Monument in the Scottish Borders, Carlisle Civic Centre and the Falkirk Wheel - a fantastic 'lift' for narrow boats near Glasgow!

Start Times: 10am and 2pm

Duration: 2.5 hours
